Before redeploying the WAR files, did you delete the CATALINA folder in Tomcat? Try that then redeploy then restart Tomcat.

Althaf,If you turn on auditing in the CMC, it can capture all logins (and a number of actions). I am not sure whether it specifically captures Information Steward, so you should test in a non-prod...
