If you profile the user-created view (sampling rate = 1 for 100%) and hover over the blue "i" on the Workspace Home Profile Results tab after the profiling finishes, the total row could at the time of profiling will be in the summary.
The only other alternative I can think of would be to build a view on top of your view with a count(*) from the original table, but depending on how large your original view is, it is likely that might time out and not display results through the "View Data" window.
